| Our unique line of distinctive fashion accessories for women is crafted from 100% genuine leathers, from vegetable tanned cowhides and pigskin to exotics such as American alligator, python, and stingray. You won't find pleather, vinyl, or faux-anything in our products. Each one a piece of art, numbered and entered for all time in our Registry of the Atelier. The collection includes a variety of purses, shoulder bags, clutches, and box purses, as well as matching wallets, belts, and other accessories. Each can be handcrafted to order in one of the signature styles shown below. For thousands of years, leather has been known as one of the most durable and high quality natural fibers. To this day, it is still one of the most popular materials for high quality products that are designed to last for decades. Some natural range markings, scratches, and scars may be visible. Often we purposely use dyes that will accentuate these, in order to bring out the natural grain and wrinkles in the leather. These, and the subtle variations in grain pattern and dye texture, provide a way to separate genuine leather from cheap imitation vinyls and plastics. With time and use, leather products will mature, soften, and darken with a rich patina. Soft but robust linings were chosen to add a richness, softness, and elegance to the leather product, and are supremely functional as well. The various styles in the Bag of Trix collection take their names from the feminine form of Latin words: Aviator becomes Aviatrix, Benefactor becomes Benefactrix, Dominator becomes Dominatrix, and so on. Then we apply a little humor in creating some of our own trademarked names: Conquistador becomes Conquistatrix, Alligator becomes Alligatrix, and so on. Each name was chosen to reflect the characteristics of the design in a way that will bring respect and admiration to the wearer of these fine pieces of Leather Art On Your Shouldertm. | |||||
